Evaluation Question 4

Websites I used overall.

For the edit, I use Adobe Premiere Pro. This was a very versatile tool, and something that (after a bit of experimentation and practise) I came to grips with fairly quickly. Some useful things which this program provides are; the ability to layer multiple frames upon one another, creating some really beautiful shots.
Another feature would be the abundance of transitions, and the ability to zoom on the editor, and really accurately place the cuts, thus allowing for them to be very on the beat. I used cross-fades, cross-dissolves, fades to white and fades to black, all of which were easily accessible by just drag and dropping. Lastly, it also had the ability to colour correct my footage, which was super useful - especially for the scenes outside under the streetlamps - since they cast such an orange light, I had to add a purple-y hue to the footage to remove some of that.

The equipment I used during the production process

Print productions

For my print productions I used google image search to find examples of other artist's work to use as inspiration for my own.
By having access to such a huge collection of album art, I was able to establish what I thought would be a fitting piece of cover art for my production. I noticed that the majority of the album covers of my genre were illustrated, but I didn't have access to the facilities to create / provide that, so instead created something which was equally colourful and visually interesting, just from actual images.

Editing

I used GIMP to do my editing. This had a lot of useful features aswell, I could fade the images into one another using a layer mask, I could colour correct, and also add text to my print productions.
I used it to change the contrast and brightness of my photos, which is what allowed me to achieve the 'washed-out' disposable type effect on all of my panels. I also used an air brush on very low capacity and with black ink to create the vignette style.
